The purchase: In June 2006, the Gryguses paid $368,000 for the home, or roughly $461,046 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The sale: According to Zillow, Gryguses sold the home for $348,000 on May 1, or approximately $113,046 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

The Gryguses originally listed the home for $349,900 in February 2019.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, the Gryguses paid $84,240 in property taxes between 2008 and 2017, or about 24.21 percent of the sale price.
