The 2,977-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, foyer with double closets, gas fireplace in the family room, updated kitchen with planning desk, breakfast bar, finished basement with recreation area, wet bar, gas fireplace in a luxurious master suite, storage galore and is filled with bright natural light.

The purchase: In July 2007, the Holbrooks paid $705,000 for the home, or roughly $860,361 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The sale: According to Zillow, the Holbrooks sold the home for $640,000 on March 27, or approximately $220,361 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

The Holbrooks originally listed the home for $650,000 in February 2019.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, the Holbrooks paid $116,913 in property taxes between 2007 and 2017, or about 18.27 percent of the sale price.
