The 2,783-square-foot home has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, a 2-story foyer, hardwoods, an updated gourmet kitchen, a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, and a bayed eating area that overlooks the secluded backyard with a patio and deck.

The purchase: In September 2013, the Dombkoskis paid $410,000 for the home, or roughly $445,113 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The sale: According to Zillow, the Dombkoskis sold the home for $390,000 on March 15, or approximately $55,113 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

The Dombkoskis originally listed the home for $429,900 in June 2018.  They lowered the price in July, August and October 2018 to $419,900, $409,750 and $399,900, respectively.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, the Dombkoskis paid $48,557 in property taxes between 2013 and 2017, or an estimated 12.45 percent of the sale price.
