The 2,000-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a 2-car garage, fresh paint, a wood-burning fireplace, a fenced backyard, a large deck and spacious rooms.

The purchase: In May 2014, the Robinsons paid $176,000 for the home, or roughly $188,060 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The sale: According to Zillow, the Robinsons sold the home for $171,000 on April 17, or approximately $17,060 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

The Robinsons originally listed the home for $179,900 in October 2018, but lowered the price in December 2018 to $176,900.  In January, they dropped the price again to $174,900.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, the Robinsons paid $19,340 in property taxes between 2013 and 2017, or about 11.31 percent of the sale price.
