The 3,461-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms, 5 baths, a 2-story foyer, a 3-tiered deck, floor-to-ceiling fireplace in the great room, hardwoods, remodeled kitchen, stainless steel appliances, library nook, finished basement, and an immaculate master suite with a fireplace and spa bath. 

The seller: Chicago Title Land Trust Co. (trustee) for Deborah and Craig Sawicki

The purchase: In May 2006, the Sawickis paid $758,000 for the home, or roughly $951,531 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The sale: According to Zillow, the home sold for $630,000 on March 15, or approximately $193,531 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

The home was originally listed for $810,000 in November 2017, but the price was lowered in April 2018 to $689,000.  In June 2018, the price dropped again to $649,000.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, Chicago Title Land Trust Co. paid $151,501 in property taxes between 2006 and 2017, or 24.05 percent of the sale price.
