Built in 1889, the 4,017-square-foot Victorian home has 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, a butler's pantry, a double-oven, hot water/steam heat, plantation shutters and hardwoods. The home is one of two Evanston bed-and- breakfasts owned by billionaire real estate investor Jennifer Pritzker.
The seller: Bropri LLC

The purchase: In March 2012, Pritzker's company paid $1.2 million for the home, or roughly $1.31 million in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The sale: According to Zillow, the home sold for a little over $1.21 million on March 13, or approximately $101,760 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.
It was originally listed for sale in December 2018, priced at $1.29 million.
The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, Pritzker's company paid $117,956 in property taxes between 2013 and 2017, or roughly 10 percent of the sale price.
