The 2,600-square-foot custom home has 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, a 2-car garage, a walk-out basement, guest suite accommodations and a new roof.  The home is located on 2 acres of beautiful woodlands.

The seller: Judith L. Bolton and Howard W. Bolton Jr.

The purchase: In March 2005, the Boltons paid $315,000 for the home, or approximately $410,187 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The sale: According to Zillow, the Boltons sold the home for $268,500 on March 8, or an estimated $141,687 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

The Boltons originally listed the home in August 2018 at $289,000 and it remained at that price until the sale.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, the Boltons paid $41,917 in property taxes between 2007 and 2017, or approximately 16 percent of the sale price.
