Market Watch: Patrick Busch loses over $53,000 on sale of DeKalb home

The home: 202 Regal Drive, DeKalb

The 1,576-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a 2-car garage, maple kitchen cabinets, hardwoods, a finished basement, a recreation room, a spacious backyard with a patio and a new roof.

The seller: Patrick Busch

The purchase: In October 2005, Busch paid $170,000 for the home, or $214,814 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The sale: According to Zillow, Busch sold the home for $161,000 on March 8, or approximately $53,814 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

Busch originally listed the home in April 2016 for $159,800 and lowered the price that same month to $154,900.  The home was taken off the market and put back on the market in for $159,800.
