The purchase: In February 2016, the property owners paid $355,000 for the home, or roughly $376,143 in today's dollars.

The sale: According to Zillow, the trust sold the home for $335,000 on Jan.18, or an estimated $41,143 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

The property was listed for sale in October 2018 for $350,000.

The property taxes: Property taxes paid for the home were $15,094 between 2016 and 2017, or approximately 5 percent of the sale price.
