The 2,118-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, a heated 2-car garage, oak hardwoods throughout, a fenced in yard and is located on a gorgeously landscaped corner lot.

The seller: Vikki L. Pryor

The purchase: In August 2005, Pryor paid $757,000 for the home, or roughly $970,193 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The sale: According to Zillow, Pryor sold the home for $590,000 on Feb. 26, or $380,000 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, Pryor paid $188,324 in property taxes between 2006 and 2017, or 32 percent of the sale price.
