The 3,600-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, a 3.5-car garage, custom millwork, a full basement and a cozy stone fireplace in the family room with great scenic views.  The home is located on a 0.5 acre lot.

The seller: Lynette M. Delatte

The purchase: In August 2007, Delatte paid $645,000 for the home, or roughly $780,860 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The sale: According to Zillow, Delatte sold the home for $535,000 on Feb. 25, or approximately $245,860 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

Delatte originally listed the home for $550,000 in December 2018.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, Delatte paid $135,625 in property taxes between 2008 and 2017, or an estimated 25 percent of the sale price.
