The purchase: In November 2006, Chamberlain paid $135,000 for the home, or roughly $168,319 in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The sale: According to Zillow, Chamberlain sold the home for $120,000 on Jan. 22, or approximately $48,319 less than the original purchase price, in today's dollars.

Chamberlain originally listed the home for $120,000 in December 2018.

The property taxes: Based on data compiled from Blockshopper.com and Zillow, Chamberlain paid $9,331 in property taxes between 2013 and 2017, or an estimated 8 percent of the sale price.
